Annapurna Panorama Trek Annapurna Panorama Trek is one of the finest treks that reveal the tantalizing view of some highest mountains in the Annapurna region. One of the most popular and preferred treks that takes you to an altitude of 3210m to see the mesmerizing sunrise from the high snow clad mountains; it is indeed a glorious experience. As Annapurna region is very popular amongst both domestic and international tourists, it remains crowded for the large part of the year as the most of the tourists come here to experience the adventure of trekking in Nepal. The major highlight of the trip is - Poon Hill, one of the best vantage points for sunrise and mountain views in Nepal. From Poon Hill, the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Manaslu (8157m) and other numerous mountains along the worlds deepest Kali Gandaki gorge is simply awe inspiring.
This trek starts with a wonderful drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we head to Tikhedhunga and walk along the delightful ethnic settlements exploring the diverse ethnic group people. We walk through the rhododendron forests and make our way to Poon Hill. The visiting trekkers will also have the chance to peek about the way of life of the people living in the region and also their cultural aspect. The trail also passes through thinly inhabited settlement areas, through the local villages, the people and their indigenous culture. The most appropriate time for Annapurna Panorama Trekking is during the months of September, November, March and May. However, it can be performed all round the year.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
You will be welcomed by our team representatives at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day of the itinerary package, you will on the sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. After having breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, you will start the sightseeing tour with the visit to the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Similarly, the tourists can also visit the holy Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple and also the Boudhanath Stupa which are important destinations for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. You will return back to the Hotel in the evening.
Day 03: Drive (6 hrs) or Fly (30 min) to Pokhara
The next day, you will either drive to Pokhara (around 200 km) along Prithivi Highway or take a thirty-minute flight from Kathmandu and land at the Pokhara Airport. After reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the Hotel there where you will be staying overnight.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga
After having breakfast in the morning on the fourth day, you will drive to Naya Pul (42 km) via car/taxi. Thirty minutes of walk further up from Naya Pul you will take the trekkers to Birethanti, a small town nearby from Pokhara. From Birethanti, you will continue to walk along the villages and forests before finally arriving at another village of Tikhedhunga. After around five hours of walking from Nayapul, the trekkers will finally reach Tikhedhunga where they will have lunch and have rest for the remaining time at a guesthouse.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2780m) 5 hrs
On the fifth day, the trekkers will be heading towards the beautiful village of Ghorepani. An hour’s walk from Ulleri will take you to Nangethanti, the destination for lunch on the fifth day. More hours of trek from Nangethanti will take the trekkers eventually to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is specially known for the spectacular views of mountains including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and other Himalayas of the region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2590m) 4hrs
On this day, the visitors will walk from Ghorepani to Poon Hill in the morning. Poon Hill, as we know, is quite popular for the panoramic view of the mountains--Annapurna and others while it is also an ideal spot for the Sunrise and Sunset views of the nearby vicinity. Mountains like Dhaulagiri and Mount Machhapuchhre are also visible from Poon Hill. After visiting Poon Hill and spending some time there at the top, you will return to Ghorepani for a quick breakfast, and then continue the trek to Tadapani. Tadapani is the destination for day six.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk
On the seventh day, the trekkers will be walking down from Tadapani to the Gurung village of Ghandruk which is a popular place in the Annapurna region. Ghandruk is an old village inhabited mostly by the Gurung people and it is popular for its old culture and tradition. Ghandruk is also suitable for the views of mountains like Mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Mount Machhapuchhre, among others. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek to Pothana
On this day, you will ascend for a short while and make your way towards the village of Pothana which is the last village before you head back to Pokhara. The village of Pothana is wonderful and also a beautiful village where the trekkers can enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 09: Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara
On the ninth day of the itinerary, the trekkers will walk to Phedi from the village of Pothana. It will take around a couple of hours to reach Phedi. From Phedi, you will then drive to Pokhara via taxi. After reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the Hotel where you will spend the rest of the night.
Day 10: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
On this day, you will have breakfast in the morning then either drive back to Kathmandu or take a flight from Pokhara to the Kathmandu. If you go by drive, it will take around six hours while if you opt for a flight then you will reach there in 30 minutes. After reaching the Capital, you will be transferred to the Hotel.
Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you will catch a flight back to your home country.
